A Reddit User Has Created the Infinite Stairs Illusion in Unreal

And revealed the secret behind it.

We all know how fascinating optical illusions can be. Infinite stairs, impossible geometry, you name it. In recent times, many games started experimenting with illusions and non-Euclidean geometry to make the gameplay more interesting.

A Reddit user u/kaylaginger has managed to create the infinite stairs illusion in Unreal Engine. The secret behind this illusion is quite simple, according to the creator. "The way it was done for this video was just an invisible cut where the start rolls down some bounding boxes that make it look like it's at the end," comments kaylaginger.

What's your opinion on using optical illusions? Do you like games like Superliminal or Antichamber? Leave your thoughts down in the comments below.
