Almost 24% of Steam Users Have Windows 11

Windows 11 usage climbed 2.66%.

Steam's Hardware & Software Survey for August revealed that 23.78% of people use Windows 11, it's 2.66% higher than the previous survey reported. Despite the rise, Windows 10 is still the most popular OS, owned by 69.06% of Steam users, although it's down 4.11%, so who knows if the newer system will one day catch up.

Strangely enough, the 10th is the only model among Windows that shows a decline: even Windows 7 grew a surprising 0.56%.

The survey also shows that while NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 is the most popular GPU, with 6.39% of usage, it fell 0.57% and came close to the runner-up – GTX 1650. Interestingly, the card to show the biggest growth is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, it climbed 0.60% and reached 3.12%.
