Auto HDR and Other Features for Games on Windows 11

Microsft presented the next version of Windows and introduced a couple of features that will improve the gaming experience. 

Microsoft has finally shared a look at Windows 11 and even discussed what features they added this time for gamers. Among other new features are DirectX 12 Ultimate, Direct Storage, and Auto HDR. For those of you who missed the news, Windows 11 is expected to launch later this year.

Microsoft is describing Auto HDR as one of the main features for players on Windows 11. The new feature will allow games to run SDR games to run with HDR improvements on displays that support the technology. Games with no initial HDr support will now look brighter and more colorful according to Microsoft.

As for Direct Storage, it is a technology by Microsoft that allows boosting load times in games. Players with a speedy SSD drive will spend less time loading games built with the use of Direct Storage.

The update is also coming with DirectX 12 Ultimate featuring Raytracing 1.1, variable rate shading, Sampler Feedback, and more.
