The render manager has been rewritten from scratch.
Blender Studio announced the release of Flamenco 3 – a new version of the open-source render farm manager used by the studio. It had been rewritten from scratch to better support its core design principles of simplicity, transparency, interactivity, and robustness.
In the video above, you can see how to set it up in just five minutes, so the ideas seem to be working.
Flamenco is being used in the production of Blender Studio's Project Heist. You can try it yourself as it's open-source and stable enough to use. Designed to be customizable, Flamenco allows TDs to specify job types and fit into the pipeline.
The software runs on all major operating systems. Get it here for free and don't forget to join our Reddit page and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
