Blizzard Will Bring Credits Back to Overwatch 2

Players can finally buy skins from the first game.

Blizzard has been busy with Overwatch 2 after the backlash it got when the now-free-to-play shooter revealed its monetization system. In the latest blog post, it announced that the Credits that players could get in the first game are coming back in Season 3.

It means that you can finally buy old epic and legendary skins, which will always be available in the Hero Gallery, with either Overwatch Coins or Credits. All players can earn up to 1500 credits as free rewards and 500 credits more as premium rewards in the Battle Pass. Moreover, the company is lowering the price of these legendary skins to 1500 Coins or Credits, so everybody has a chance to earn one skin every season.

At first, the Credits will be used for purchasing skins only, but Blizzard is planning to introduce other ways to spend them in the future.

In the same post, the company once again promises that it is also working on updates to the competitive system.
