Cool Weapon Collision System Set Up in UE5 for a Game

Haenir Studio shared a new demo for their upcoming action horror game Blight: Survival.

Indie game development team Haenir Studio has recently shared a new gameplay demo for Blight: Survival, an upcoming Unreal Engine 5-powered medieval, co-operative, action horror game set in an alternate 14th century, showcasing a cool new mechanic they created.

Shared "for the sake of transparency", the new WiP demo provided a look at a neat weapon collision system, which makes the player stagger upon hitting a sturdy stationary object with a melee. According to the team, they also intend to share more behind-the-scenes content in the near future and provide more updates on Blight's development process.

Additionally, Haenir's Co-Founder Mads Christensen answered some of the audience's questions regarding the development of Blight: Survival, its gameplay features and weapons, the studio's future plans, and more:

Earlier, Mads also joined 80 Level to tell us more about the development process and idea behind Blight: Survival, explain why Unreal Engine 5 was chosen for the game, and discuss the upcoming game's gameplay and co-op mechanics. You can check out our interview with the developer here.
