Dragon Age Senior Creative Director Left BioWare

Matthew Goldman worked two shifts of 19 years combined at the studio.

Dragon Age senior creative director Matthew Goldman is leaving Bioware after two shifts of 19 years combined at the studio. The news was announced internally by the studio's VP and general manager, Gary McKay, PC Gamer states.

"We understand that Matt's departure has an impact on you as well as the game's development," McKay wrote. "Rest assured our commitment to a high-quality Dragon Age game has not waivered, and we will not ship a game that is not up to Bioware's standards.

We, including EA's executive team, have absolute confidence in the leadership here at the studio and the people working on this game to carry forward our vision."

Goldman joined the team back in 1998, then briefly switched to working at Microsoft on Halo Wards as art lead for three years. In 2009, the developer rejoined Bioware as art director, worked as a principal visual director in 2014, and finally as senior creative director for Dragon Age starting in 2017.
