The game will be officially launched at the latest before April 2026.
Soon after we’ve seen the first pre-alpha gameplay footage of the Battlefield game shared by the developers, we’re hearing more about the game. This time, Electronics Arts revealed the game's release window.
According to the company's third-quarter earnings report, the game will be out during the upcoming fiscal year 2026, which starts this April and ends on March 31, 2026. This means the game is expected to be launched at the latest before April 2026. This broader official release window covers October 2025, a non-official release month that a former DICE employee told us earlier.

The next Battlefield will be one of the “most ambitious projects in [EA’s] history” and designed to return to the franchise’s roots. Also, the developers decided to employ the “player-first” approach and have conducted a few rounds of playtests, including the largest-scale one the franchise has ever seen. They’ve also launched Battlefield Labs, which is described as a place for developers “to test concepts and experiences” that they are excited about to see what the community reactions are and to ensure players’ voices have “an impact.”
The showcased pre-alpha footage from yesterday is only a few seconds long but gives us peeks at some details. For example, the battleground seems to be set in the Middle East, according to the typical buildings, palms, and an inscription written in Arabic. The speech and equipment hint that the players belong to the Americans, although it’s unclear where the enemies are from.
We can surely expect more footage to be unveiled later to show us a more comprehensive look at the game, including the free-to-play Battle Royale, developed by Ripple Effect, which is “a new Battlefield experience fuelled by our unique Battlefield DNA.”
