Early Builds of Games: Developers Continue Showing How it Begins

Even more developers shared the early builds of their games, responding to the "visuals are one of the first things done" comments.

In case you missed the news, a couple of days ago, a bunch of developers revealed early builds of their games, responding to one particular comment made by a Twitter user Design4Mind317, who claimed that developers set up graphics first. The comment was made in response to the recent GTA 6 leak, which revealed tons of behind-the-scenes info about Rockstar's upcoming game, including lots of videos showing the game at its earliest stages.

To show the user just how wrong this opinion is, developers and artists from all across the world got together and showed what their games and films looked like. The list of games included Destiny, Horizon Zero Dawn, Control, and many others. Over the past few days, even more developers joined the trend and unveiled their games, proving once and for all that visuals are among the last things done.

Naughty Dog Central, a Twitter account dedicated to all things Naughty Dog, for example, showed what the studio's The Last of Us looked like in the beginning, commenting that "every game you ever played went through this":

Game Director at Asobo Studio Kevin Choteau showed the first iterations of A Plague Tale: Requiem, the studio's upcoming action-adventure game:
