Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi Made in ZBrush, Mari & Arnold

May the Fourth be with you!

Today, to celebrate the unofficial annual Star Wars appreciation day, let's have a look at an incredible 3D recreation of the series' Obi-Wan Kenobi, portrayed Ewan McGregor, made by CG Artist and Digital Sculptor Adán Pérez.

Additionally, the creator utilized maps from TexturingXYZ and 3D Scan Store to set up the textures, as well as XGen, which was used to recreate the character's hair. The goal of the project, the artist noted, was to showcase how to use the SubSurface Scattering map to "get closer to reality in terms of a CGI face".
