Experience AR in Google Search

Did you know that certain searches in Google can give you some results in 3D and Augmented Reality?

When you search on Google, you can view some results in 3D and AR. To view 3D results and interact with them in AR, you need a modern Android or iOS device with Android 7 and iOS 11 or up respectively. All you have to do is search for an animal, object, or place in Google and if a 3D result is available, just follow the instruction and experience the thing you googled in AR.

Please note that this feature is not supported by all languages as of yet, so it is better to search for things in English.

To experience AR, here are some examples of what you can search:

  • Certain land animals like, for example, a tiger, a giant panda, a leopard, or a goat.
  • Certain underwater and wetland animals.
  • Three birds: macaw, emperor penguin, and eagle.
  • Human anatomical systems.
  • Certain cultural sites, like Chichén Itzá, Brandenburg Gate, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and more.
  • Apollo 11 command module and Neil Armstrong's suit.
  • And more!
