Experimenting With Real-Time Fur Physics in UE5

Ryan Corniel showcased the results of a new collision test in Unreal Engine 5.1.

Senior Gameplay Artist Ryan Corniel, known to many for creating physically-accurate digital puppets, continues to experiment with real-time fur physics in Unreal Engine 5. This time, the creator impressed us with an awesome collision test running on RTX 4090 GPU with myriads of hairs reacting to a rapidly moving sphere in a lifelike matter. According to the author, the fur was made using Cinema 4D and then exported as alembic splines to UE5.1 for grooming.
