Environment and Props Artist Jefferson Bacquey Habrylo demonstrated a high level of expertise with this stunning artwork.
Jefferson Bacquey Habrylo, Senior Environment and Props Artist at Lost Boys Interactive, showcased a new fantastic project created with Maya, Unreal Engine 5, Substance 3D Painter, and Photoshop.
The project is a fully modular and procedurally textured Old West town. The photorealistic environment looks highly detailed, with both natural and architectural pieces. It features a complex composition, with stones, grass, and moss on the forefront, a road and wooden houses in the main part, and another architectural structure and distant mountains in the backdrop, which adds depth and graphic fidelity to the picture.
"This is one of the most ambitious pieces I've worked on, featuring extensive technical elements that supported its creation," the artist shared. "A special thanks to Ethan Reeds for his invaluable guidance and insights on lighting."
In our interview, Jefferson Bacquey Habrylo shared a breakdown of another great project, the Hogwarts Library Personal Interpretation, speculated on the challenges of creating large-scale scenes, and shared some environment art tips for beginners:
