Call of Duty fans have finally found out what Simon "Ghost" Riley, one of the three playable protagonists of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, looks like without his iconic skull balaclava.
The identity of Ghost has been Call of Duty's biggest secret for quite some time – for years, the Task Force 141 commanding officer has remained masked. While Modern Warfare II’s campaign teased players with a face reveal, with the British SAS soldier finally lifting the mask off Ghost's head, fans still didn't get to see his face so the mystery continued.
And recently, thanks to Redditor Crafty-Astronomer905, an unmasked image of Ghost was revealed to the public. Apparently, the Reddit user (or other data miners) was able to find the character model within the shooter files.
Fans have quickly recognized actor Samuel Roukin, who voiced the character in Modern Warfare II, in Ghost's never-before-seen face. Roukin has also participated in motion and facial capture sessions.
Since there was much of a mystery surrounding the character, fans usually assumed that the cold-blooded and experienced officer definitely should be a handsome man with a strong masculine appearance. However, following the face reveal, a number of fans realized that the character model shows a striking resemblance to the "legendary space ranger" Buzz Lightyear that they "can't unsee" now.
