Check out this relaxing cozy game with pixelated pastel visuals in which you can build towns.
If you are a fan of cozy building games, take a look at the recently released Gourdlets, a "sandbox game about building towns." The game was warmly met by the audience and received "very positive" reviews on Steam two days after its release.
Gourdlets was created by Preethi Vaidyanathan, a solo developer known as AuntyGames. In a recent interview, Preethi shared that she left her job as an aerospace engineer to devote her time to game development. She realized that it could become her career after she started waking up two hours earlier to watch Godot game engine tutorials. "I've always worked on side projects, but definitely none that I would lose precious sleep over," Preethi said.

Preethi also shared that she usually played relaxing games like Sims 2 or Stardew Valley rather than deep strategy games. When talking about own project, she explained: "I figured that making any game would be a complicated and challenging project, so I wanted playing it to be mindless fun." When asked what is more complicated – launching a rocket or a game, Preethi answered: "It depends on the game and the rocket."
