Jibaro Animations vs Real-Life References

Here's your chance to compare the Golden Woman animation from Jibaro with the real-life performances that were used to create it.

Following Storyx's amazing recreation of the Golden Woman dance from the Love, Death+Robots' Jibaro episode, here's one more recently-released demonstration dedicated to the renowned scene. A couple of days ago, Choreographer Sara Silkin shared two videos that shed some light on the production process behind the episode.

The videos show Sara and Movement Artist Megan Goldstein's outstanding performances, which were used to create the final Golden Woman dance and scream animations. The performances showcase some amazing choreography and highlight the importance of movement for the episode's creation.

Last year, several animators who worked on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer shared some similar behind-the-scenes videos that showed how they used self-made references to create the animations. You can learn more about them here.
