Kepler Interactive Reaches $50M in Revenue in 2022 & Announces New Partnerships

The publisher has boasted a strong performance in its first complete financial year and unveiled a string of new partnerships, including with Sandfall Interactive, The Gentlebros, and Kowloon Nights.

Kepler Interactive has announced it achieved a revenue milestone of $50 million during 2022 (the company's first complete year of operation since its launch) and unveiled a string of new partnerships built upon the "exceptional performance" during the year.

A significant part of the publisher's revenue can be attributed to the highly successful debuts of Sifu by Sloclap and Scorn by Ebb Software. Sifu, in particular, has sold over 2 million copies across various platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and (as of November 2022) Nintendo Switch.

Additionally, Kepler has announced several partnerships for the current year, aimed at expanding upon its 2022's revenue achievements. Among the collaborations is a global publishing deal with Sandfall Interactive, a Montpellier-based studio working on a single-player fantasy game.

Kepler has also invested in The Gentlebros, a Singaporean game studio known for the Cat Quest franchise. The publisher plans to offer support for the Cat Quest back catalog and assist the studio with future releases.

Additionally, the company has partnered with the video game fund, Kowloon Nights, to establish an internal games funding arm. The first game to receive full financing from this division will be a new title from the Seattle-based studio, Aggro Crab.

Apart from this, Kepler is set to strengthen its ties with IOI Gamer, a China-based marketing and PR agency, following the successful debuts of Sifu and Scorn in the country.

The publisher has also introduced an in-house white label publishing service that will provide publishing talent a 15% base revenue share. According to Kepler, the service will allow developers to remain self-published while gaining support to build their brand and community.

"We started Kepler with the ambition to offer the best environment for exceptional teams to thrive. Last year’s results have validated this aspiration beyond our wildest expectations," Kepler's CEO CEO Alexis Garavaryan said. "As we look forward to 2023 and beyond, our mission is to continue our growth into a leading entertainment company co-owned and run by creators."
