Lord of the Rings' Gates of the Kings Recreated in UE5

The iconic location was made by Connor Buchanan in just a day.

Around a week ago, to celebrate the start of Unreal Fest 2022, Filmmaker, Environment Artist, and Character Animator Connor Buchanan unveiled a stunning new project made in just a day. Using the power of Unreal Engine 5, the artist thoroughly recreated The Argonath landmark, a.k.a. The Gate of Kings, from Peter Jackson's legendary The Lord of the Rings movies. According to Connor, the scene was set up using Megascans and Sketchfab assets in UE5 and the dragon was hand-animated with 120 Forward Kinematics (FK) bones.
