MSG Sphere Studios is looking for skilled Environment, Concept, Previs, and CG Artists to join the team and create an entirely new medium that will deliver immersive entertainment experiences at an unparalleled scale.

To deliver on this promise, the MSG Sphere Studios team is building the largest immersive venue in the world, MSG Sphere at The Venetian in Las Vegas, with a second Sphere venue planned for London. To create immersive experiences, and content unique to Sphere, the company is growing its full-stack creative, experience, design, production, and engineering team across their Burbank studio in Los Angeles and Ventures headquarters in New York.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary
- Work closely with the Art Director and others to maintain a stunning visual style
- Manage the delivery of 3D assets for your level or feature, including creating assets from scratch
- Create documentation when working with external development teams and feedback on work received
- Promote and enforce structure, such as naming conventions and documentation
- Work with leads to design fluid workflows for teammates across multiple disciplines
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
- Brainstorm, R&D, and help implement pipeline workflow
- You will work with others to establish best practices and documentation around level look, layout, and lighting
- Work with our art director, and character artists to create engaging characters and creatures in multiple styles
- Create a diverse range of characters on specific elements such as outfits, hairstyles, and facial stylization
- Design creatures, props, and visual effects concepts
- Design original concepts that fit within the project style guide
- Translate high-level ideas into production-ready art packets
- Enhance existing concepts with detailed views, turnarounds, and material references
- Maintain art, while providing a variety of ideas
- Provide in-depth research, and reference material, and develop conceptual ideas
- Create lighting schemes and color palettes that capture the tone of the world
- Develop stylistic consistency for all experiences
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
- Work directly with the Previz Supervisor to develop and adhere to Previz methods and techniques that will assure the highest quality results.
- Develop Sphere-specific previz techniques and processes using traditional VFX and real-time toolsets
- Ideal candidates have an appetite for creative execution and are forward-thinking and technologically inclined with an interest in being a part of an ambitious, innovative project requiring collaboration and teamwork.
- Assist Previz Supervisor in recruiting and training a world-class Previz team.
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
- Work directly with the CG Supervisor to develop and adhere to CG methods and techniques that will assure the highest quality results.
- Ideal candidates have an appetite for creative execution and are forward-thinking and technologically inclined and have an interest in being a part of an ambitious, innovative project requiring collaboration and teamwork.
- This role is part of a production artist group exploring and developing a unique language for Sphere, in collaboration with a creative development team.
- Assist CG Supervisor in recruiting and training a world-class CG team.
