No Man's Sky's Latest Update: A Bounty of Free Yet Rich Content

This update spoils its players with long-anticipated features including ship customization, expanded stations, significant visual enhancements, and more.

No Man's Sky, the 8-year-old popular space exploration game, has just released a significant game 4.6 update, Orbital.

The update introduces new features such as customizable starships, overhauled space stations, and improvements to trading, standing, and guilds, among others. It has been met with great enthusiasm from the player community, who are delighted by the substantial enhancements offered in this completely free update.

One of the biggest highlights of the Orbital update, also one that’s particularly appreciated by players, is the introduction of customizable starships. The Starship Fabricator enables players to design and construct a completely unique ship from salvaged parts. Unwanted ships can be dismantled at the outfitting station, and the components repurposed into the starship of one's dreams.

Space stations have been completely reimagined with procedurally generated interiors that now vary significantly from station to station.

Another notable change is the influence of a player's standing with alien races on the prices offered by technology vendors aboard the space station. Those who cultivate a strong reputation with alien lifeforms can enjoy significant discounts. The stronger your reputation with alien lifeforms, the better discounts you will enjoy.

The starship Economy Scanner has been updated to identify market surges in nearby star systems. These periodic events offer profitable opportunities for traders with enterprising mindsets by highlighting trade commodities that are currently in short supply and high demand.

Given all these appealing additions in this update, some players have called it the 'best-ever update'.
