Open Brush Gets a Passthrough Feature

The new feature will allow you to draw objects in your own room.

Open Brush, a free VR application that lets you paint in 3D space, has got a new Passthrough feature, a special VR feature that allows you to see a real-time view of your surroundings. With Passthrough, it is now possible to draw various objects in VR using your own room as a canvas. According to the developers, the new feature was made possible by updating Open Brush to the latest version of Unity and its new XR Framework.

For those who don't know, Open Brush is the community-created successor to Tilt Brush, a room-scale 3D-painting virtual-reality application available from Google, originally developed by Skillman & Hackett. The app was developed using TB's open-source code and it gives you the opportunity to unleash your creativity with three-dimensional brush strokes, choosing from a wide palette of brushes.
