OpenAI's ChatGPT Can Generate Python Scripts for Blender

Michal Kalisz utilized OpenAI's latest model to generate two working scripts.

CD Projekt Red's Senior Weapon Artist and Weapon Art Coordinator Michal Kalisz, also known as Veezen, has recently shared the results of an experiment with ChatGPT, OpenAI's recently-released AI model capable of maintaining a dialogue, answering follow-up questions, and providing detailed responses to the input prompts.

The experiment showed that on top of its impressive conversational abilities, ChatGPT is also capable of generating simple Python scripts that can then be used in various 3D software. Using the model, Michal produced two scripts for Blender, one for selecting an object with more than 20 triangles and one for adding a Bevel modifier, and the AI managed to produce working results, which you can check out below.
