Painting VR’s Summer Build to be Released on 30 September

A crowdfunding campaign was launched to support adding multi-user functionalities and porting to PCVR.

A month ago we reported that Painting VR was planning to add multi-user functions to their app to bring users together in a low-brow international art scene: Painting VR World. Turnes out this is not the only update the developers had in store. Its new ‘Summer Build’ will launch at the end of September with several new features including distance grabbing, an in-game browser, smaller brushers, finger painting option, individual tool settings where users can adjust opacity, blurriness, and many more. It also comes with unlimited colors and an updated user interface.

Developer Oisoi has launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign at the beginning of the month to add multi-user functionalities to their virtual reality art painting sim game Painting VR and bring it to PCVR. They also created an online exhibition of work from the Painting VR community, which can be visited here.

For those who missed the news, Painting VR is a simulator that merges several creation tools in one – its users can create paintings, sketches, or graffiti in virtual reality. It was released in May in Early Access and has now more than 10.000 users worldwide.
