PUBG Studios and Krafton have released PUBG lifetime stats, unveiling numerous milestones accomplished by the game over the years.

PUBG: Battlegrounds celebrates its sixth anniversary. To mark the event, PUBG Studios and Krafton have unveiled an infographic showcasing the game's lifetime statistics, highlighting various milestones achieved over the years.

The infographic reveals that PUBG: Battlegrounds has recorded a whopping 75 million units sold and amassed a staggering 16.3 billion hours of gameplay across 242 countries, with a total player count of over 150.7 million. In addition, PUBG has collaborated with 20 different intellectual properties, including the likes of Assassin’s Creed, McLaren, and the NieR series.

Furthermore, the game achieved a remarkable concurrent player peak of 3.25 million on Steam and maintained its position as one of the platform's most-played games and top-selling intellectual properties for six consecutive years.

Additionally, PUBG: Battlegrounds marked the occasion by releasing its 22.2 update on consoles, bringing several improvements to the game. The update includes server fixes, gameplay balancing, and the introduction of the new Famas assault rifle. It also brings changes to the game's maps, such as the addition of billboards, more hills on Deston, and even a dirt racetrack on the peninsula south of Sancara.

When it was released in 2017, PUBG: Battlegrounds (then known as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds) quickly became one of the biggest market changers in the gaming industry. With its introduction of the battle royale gameplay format, the game garnered widespread attention and transformed online shooter games. Alongside Fortnite, which received its Battle Royale mode shortly after PUBG's debut, the game set a new standard for the genre. Even Call of Duty later followed suit by incorporating battle royale gameplay in the form of Warzone.
