Re-Logic Confirms It Is Working on the Cross-Play Feature for Terraria

But it is still "not guaranteed."

If you’ve been longing to play Terraria with your friends across different platforms, there might be some good news for you – the development team behind the game has confirmed that it is working on the cross-play feature for the title.

Responding to a player who asked whether the team plans to implement this feature (via PCGamesN), Re-Logic founder Andrew "Redigit" Spinks noted that it is currently "in the works", giving some hope for the Terraria fans who are eagerly awaiting the ability to play with friends on other platforms after Re-Logic stated in November that "cross-play planning is in full swing" and that it is "feeling confident with the outcome of those discussions."

There is, however, a fly in the ointment – Re-Logic vice president Whitney "Cenx" Spinks says that although the team really wants to bring the feature to life, cross-play is still "not guaranteed."

In addition to the details about the cross-play feature, the developers also confirmed that 1.4.5 is indeed the final update for the game which is aimed to "wrap things up," as Redigit puts it. The update is set to include an epic crossover between Terraria and Dead Cells, as well as additional content such as a whip, hallow-themed furniture, an upward-falling boulder, and more.
