Recreating a Portrait of Arwen Evenstar from The Lord of the Rings

The project was made by Lead 3D Artist Rachid Jatib

Rachid Jatib, a 3D Art Lead at Bad Rhino Games, has shared a breakdown on creating a character of Liv Tyler, Arwen Evenstar, from The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. The artist unveiled that he started this project to overcome the fear of creating 'Likenesses, Character Grooming and using a render engine like Arnold.' It was his study project during a Likeness Program at ArtHeroes, and Rachid mentioned some artists that helped him during the creation process: Josh Wallace, Pedro Colaço,  Joaquin Cossio,  Traian-Constantin Boitan,  Marko Lazov, and Marlon R. Nunez

'Now that I've managed to finish this bust study, I believe I've had a decent introduction to those topics. I still got a long way to go but I feel more confident now approaching set topics.', shared Rachid.

The project was inspired by the artwork of Concept Artist and Illustrator Vandyck .K
