For this week's digest, we chose a legendary game from SEGA, Sonic the Hedgehog, from the 1990s and picked a few assets from Megascans library that would help you recreate a scene from the iconic 2D platformer.
Silver Lady Fern
A voluminous fern would work well as the foliage that you can see behind the main character. Feel free to mix up different types of fern to add realism to the project, and it's done!
Dirty Brick Floor
For the ground, we suggest a dusty brick floor with worn-our spots. It would fit in the whole world perfectly. If you want, you can add more rocks and other small details to diversify the ground.
Rusted Metal Barrel
To bring in the urban atmosphere to the scene, we thought adding some industrial props would definitely help. There's a whole collection in the Megascans Library, and we picked a few details from there. This barrel asset can be a good choice with uneven spots, cracks, and peeled paint.
Concrete Pillar
A concrete pillar can be used to recreate an obstacle for the player in the game. Add some decals to it to make it look more modern, and there you go.
