Resident Evil 4 Remake Celebrates 7 Million Units Sold

The franchise's total circulation is 154 million copies over its lifespan.

Yesterday, Capcom shared that the remake of Resident Evil 4 hit a new milestone of surpassing 7 million copies sold, almost a year since its launch on March 24, 2023. Earlier in late January, we reported that the game saw over 6.4 million units sold, becoming the fastest-selling Resident Evil title at that time.

Capcom also provided the total sales figures for the entire Resident Evil series, which has reached 154 million copies over its lifespan. This makes it Capcom's top-selling franchise. The standout titles in the series are Resident Evil 5, with 14.5 million copies, the Resident Evil 2 remake, 13.1 million copies, and the original Resident Evil 4, with 13 million copies.
