Take a look at StackUp – a MAXScript for stacking 3D objects along splines. It generates a random stack of models along a spline, taking the objects from directories.
In production, it has been used to make houses, apartment blocks, as well as structural and industrial objects.
You can set the shape of the guide spline and the dimensions of the models and select presets including Modern Suburban Houses, Apartment Blocks, and Retail Shops. The tool is useful for creating modular assets.
