This update introduces enhancements to primitives, as well as some other quality-of-life improvements.
Substance 3D
Substance 3D Modeler 1.18 is primarily a bug fix release, focusing on refining the 3D primitives workflow, bringing some updates to Export, and including several other minor improvements.
Primitives, first introduced in Substance 3D Modeler 1.15, provide a non-destructive way to create complex geometry using highly customizable shapes. Primitive shapes can also be converted to clay, enabling sculpting with all the familiar 3D Modeler tools.
Now, when converting from primitive to clay, the correct material is automatically assigned to the new clay object. Additionally, linked groups or components within primitive containers can now be set to the None Combine mode. Parameters are also now accessible when selecting primitives or groups of primitives, allowing you to update all selected primitives simultaneously.
Export functionality now lets you place the object at the origin of the exported file when selected and makes the Material panel accessible in Export mode, along with other quality-of-life fixes.
