Take-Two: GTA VI Will Set New "Creative Benchmarks"

According to the Take-Two head Strauss Zelnick, the next game in the Grand Theft Auto series will set new "creative benchmarks" not only for the gaming industry but for "all entertainment."

Grand Theft Auto VI is probably one of the most hyped games of the decade, and Rockstar Games' owner Take-Two seems to be quite sure that GTA VI is not just going to be a success but also will be the most ambitious title that will change the world.

During a recent financial call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed that the development of the next installment in the GTA series is progressing well and noted that the company and Rockstar Games intend to once again set new "creative benchmarks" not only for the gaming industry but for the entire entertainment segment.

"With development of the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series well underway, the Rockstar
Games team is determined to once again set creative benchmarks for the series, our industry, and for
all entertainment, just as the label has done with every one of their frontline releases," Zelnick said.

While the first news that Rockstar Games is at hard work on the title appeared this February, almost nothing has been known about the game except early reports that claim that the upcoming title will feature two protagonists, one of whom will be a Latina woman.

Rockstar also reportedly canned the development of GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption remasters in favor of GTA VI. Additionally, the studio revealed that Red Dead Online fans shouldn't expect major updates any time soon, which is also related to the company's focus on the next GTA game.

Elsewhere in the financial report, Take-Two announced that Marvel's Midnight Suns is delayed indefinitely and provided updated GTA V sales figures saying that the title has now sold nearly 170 million units.
