Tencent America announced they are launching a new office in Los Angeles. Tencent L.A.. located in Silicon Beach, plans to hire around 150 employees to start. The company also states they will add several new positions to boost game design, development, and engineering departments over the next three years.
Currently, the giant has five offices in the US. located in Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Irvine, Seattle, and New York. In the meantime, Tencent had a record number of mergers and acquisitions in the last year investing in 31 games industry deals in 2020.
