The Canceled Titanfall Game Was Reportedly a Campaign in Apex Legends

It would see Apex characters and the return of BT.

Bloomberg recently reported that Electronic Arts canceled an unannounced game in the Titanfall/Apex Legends universe. In GiantBomb's Game Mess Mornings stream, Jeff Grubb shared more details about this Titanfall Legends title, saying it was a "Titanfall-feeling" single-player campaign that was supposed to be included in Apex Legends.

According to Grubb, it featured Blisk and brought back BT, the titan from Titanfall 2. What's more, the developers wanted to encourage people to use special abilities to make the game more active and not just another shooter. Familiar Legends would appear here and there to give the player special powers.

"The thinking there was that more people have played Apex Legend than have ever heard of Titanfall," Grubb explained, "so they were really going to lean into that."

Unfortunately, we will not see all these plans come to life, at least not any time soon.

Along with the project, EA canceled Apex Legends Mobile and Battlefield Mobile. Later, the studio delayed Star Wars Jedi: Survivor until April 28.
