20th Century Studios, New Regency, and Entertainment One released a trailer for the upcoming sci-fi action thriller The Creator. The movie, scheduled for September 29, is telling the story of Joshua, a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife, caught in the middle of a war between humans and AI.
He is hired to find and kill the Creator, the architect of advanced AI who has developed a weapon with the power to end the war and the entire mankind. However, Joshua soon discovers that the weapon he needs to destroy is an AI in the form of a child.
The Creator is directed by Gareth Edwards, who has worked on Rogue One, the screenplay is by Edwards and Chris Weitz. Edwards, Kiri Hart, Jim Spencer, and Arnon Milchan are the producers, and Yariv Milchan, Michael Schaefer, Natalie Lehmann, Nick Meyer, and Zev Foreman are the executive producers.
The movie stars John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, Madeleine Yuna Voyles, and Allison Janney.
