This Manor Lords City Is So Big It Takes 20 Minutes to Load

4,500 people make the game unplayable.

Manor Lords keeps amazing us with the feats its players achieve. This time, Redditor Busy-Shallot-3550 shared their proud moment of making the game unplayable because of the city's sheer size. After 50-70 hours and with 4548 inhabitants in the region, the town takes about 20 minutes to load on SSD with Ryzen 5 5600 and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

"The game is no longer really playable, and pathfinding is practically non-existent," the player said. They get 0-2 FPS on the x4 and x12 speed, so it's worse than a slide show.

"The main reason for this is the massive memory leak of the game, which can reach up to 75gb (page files), and not the specification of the computer itself. I started the save with the idea of learning the game in the press version I received from the publisher (for which I am very grateful). However, after some time this save turned into a project, which I called ‘Slavic project’ and it had the goal to achieve the highest possible number of inhabitants in one region without food and fuel. As you can see it was successful."

The game's creator Greg Styczeń was impressed by Busy-Shallot-3550 and promised to continue work on optimization.

Manor Lords has sold over 2 million copies and keeps surprising players with what it can offer. Earlier, another fan managed to hold off 36 bandits with just 5 villagers and even wrote a Wikipedia article about it.
