According to new information, Apple will not reinstate Fortnite in App Store for up to 5 years.
Yesterday, the CEO and Founder of Epic Games Tim Sweeney shared a new piece of information related to the Apple vs Epic case. According to the letters received by Epic Games, Apple has decided not to reinstate Epic's Fortnite in the Apple ecosystem. What's more, the company won't consider any further requests for reinstatement until the exhaustion of all court appeals, which might last for as long as 5 years.
"Apple lied. Apple spent a year telling the world, the court, and the press they’d "welcome Epic’s return to the App Store if they agree to play by the same rules as everyone else". Epic agreed, and now Apple has reneged in another abuse of its monopoly power over a billion users," commented Tim Sweeney.
