Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Will Become a Franchise

It "shattered" Gearbox's expectations.

Borderlands spin-off Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands was released in March and has been so successful that Gearbox is going to make a franchise out of it. Gearbox's CEO Randy Pitchford said that the studio is already working on "future experiences."

“Wonderlands shattered all of our target expectations, both critically and commercially,” he said, “and I'm thrilled to report that in addition to great financial rewards from this victory that will be coming our way in the coming quarters, we have established a firm beachhead, and we now clearly have a new franchise on our hand, with future experiences already under development at Gearbox.”

This is a striking result, especially compared to the recently released Saints Row game, also owned by Embracer, which was called "very polarising" by the company's CEO due to players' controversial reviews.

Pitchford didn't specify what these future experiences are (a new game or a DLC?) so stay tuned, watch the full video here, and don't forget to join our Reddit page and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
