Trap Jaw from Masters of the Universe Sculpted in ZBrush

An awesome work by Giovanni Nakpil.

Take a look at this amazing model of Trap Jaw from Masters of the Universe sculpted by Giovanni Nakpil in ZBrush.

Nakpil shared that he loved the character when he was a child and couldn't believe he was given the opportunity to build and help design this version as his first official collectible statue.

The initial 2D concept work was done by Kucharek Brothers, and the base was modeled by Amilcar Aldana Fong. The artist also thanked David Igo as they "both did a lot of work in trying to come up with a fitting design while honoring what made the classic character so beloved".

The Trap Jaw maquette is 20” tall, 11.5” wide, and 12.75” deep when fully assembled. He stands atop a Snake Mountain-themed base, which matches with other Evil Warriors in the Legends collection. The maquette comes with two swap-out portraits, one featuring his modern spiked helm and one with a more classic rounded appearance, a modernized blaster weapon arm, and a reinvented hook arm.

You can pre-order the statue on Sideshow for $655. Also, check out Giovanni Nakpil's ArtStation to see more great projects and don't forget to join our Reddit page and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
