Tutorial: RealityCapture to UE5 Workflow

Willliam Faucher has published a new tutorial dedicated to workflow in RealityCapture.

Capturing Reality’s “Reality Capture” is photogrammetry software capable of creating high-fidelity 3D models from photos. This Instrument is often used by the Quixel team to create the Megascans assets.

William Faucher’s tutorial covers the process of 3D scanning a 300-year-old log house in central Norway and immortalizing it with the help of photogrammetry and Unreal Engine 5. This tutorial covers everything you need to know to get started with photogrammetry, even if you’ve never done it before. From the recommended camera specs, camera settings, right down to how you should be taking photos, William holds your hand through the entire process of converting your photos into a fully detailed and textured 3D model.

"As if Reality Capture wasn’t powerful enough as is, when combined with Unreal Engine 5’s new Nanite virtualized geometry, this workflow is now a game-changer for artists moving forward. Long gone are the days of retopology, UVing, baking normals, reprojecting textures. We can simply export models directly from Reality Capture, into UE5, and jump straight into creating worlds", says William Faucher.

Also, William has shared a promo code WILLIAM100 that will give you a 100% off for 3500 PPI credits here which will be enough points to export an asset into UE5 and follow along with this tutorial.

Very intersting tutorial that give to me an idea about what amount of polygon could be usable also in UE 4 with large scanned meshes.
Another thing: there's a problem with the promo code, it's not working properly.
In the last step the system says the final price can't be 0 and it doesn't advance, so no free credits.
