Tutorial: Recreating Spider-Man's Web Swinging Mechanics in Unreal

Learn how to create a friendly neighbor in Unreal Engine.

Are you a fan of Spider-Man? Have you always wanted to recreate the web-swinging mechanics in 3D. Here's a great step-by-step guide by the Uisco channel that goes over the process of adding this particular ability with Unreal Engine 4.

In this tutorial, the author explains the process of making webs inside the engine and shows how you can find points that the player can attach to. When a player presses the left mouse button, the web sticks to this point, and the player can travel just like Spider-Man. You can then change the speed, add custom animation, and adjust different parameters, of course.
