Ubisoft Confirmed Its Participation at Gamescom 2022

The French publisher joins a handful of big companies which will be attending this year's show.

Ubisoft will take part in this year's Gamescom that will be held at the Koelnmesse convention center in Cologne, Germany from August 24 to August 28.

The company confirmed its participation on its official Twitter account. It didn't provide any additional information regarding what it may showcase at the event but promised to share more details in the near future. So far it is known that Ubisoft will unlikely reveal the follow-up in its Assasin's Creed series as earlier, the company said it will unveil "the future" of the franchise sometime in September during its own showcase event.

Ubisoft is joining a handful of big companies which have confirmed their participation at Gamescom 2022 including Bandai Namco, Koch Media, and THQ Nordic. However, a number of major publishers announced they will not attend this year's show. This includes Nintendo, Activision Blizzard, Take-Two, and, most recently, PlayStation.

Gamescom 2022 will be the first in-person event since the beginning of the pandemic with its organizers claiming that over 250 companies will take part in this year's show.
