Unity for Humanity Grant: Grantees Announced

Unity has announced five grantees to receive $25,000, a mentorship, and technical assistance to level up their Unity workflow.

Unity announced five grantees of Unity for Humanity Grant who will receive $25,000 as well as mentorship and technical assistance to build better expertise in Unity.

The grant was announced during the Unity for Humanity Summit, and the Unity team received over 250 submissions. Each submission was reviewed following the criteria: inclusivity and diversity of experiences and perspectives, measurability of impact goals and calls to action, the creativity of Unity usage and application, and viability of the production and distribution plan.

The list of grantees:

  • Ahi Kā Rangers: An ecological mobile game, led by an Indigenous team, designed to transform a generation who have lost their connection to the world around them, into cheerleaders and activists for the planet.
  • Dot’s Home: A game that sheds a light on the injustices embedded into the U.S. housing system by highlighting the choices that marginalized communities have had to make when navigating within the system.
  • Future Aleppo: An interactive VR experience that allows children to rebuild their homes and cities that have been ravaged by war.
  • Our America: A virtual reality experience designed to educate users about being Black in America.
  • Samudra: An environmentally focused, hand-illustrated, 2D puzzle game that follows a child's adventure across a polluted sea.
