VGC: The Next Splinter Cell Game Reportedly Gets The Green Light

Ubisoft has reportedly given the green light to the production of the next Splinter Cell game which might become the first core entry in the series since 2013's Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

A new report from VGC states multiple "development sources" revealed a new Splinter Cell is in an early stage of development, and there's even a small chance of the game being announced as early as 2022. The report claims Ubisoft wants to make it up to frustrated Tom Clancy and Splinter Cell fans.

Little is known about the project but it is said that the title is being developed outside of Ubisoft's Montreal studio that developed key Splinter Cell games, including the original, Chaos Theory, and Conviction.

What would you like to see in a potential sequel? Should they once again develop a single-player game with smaller-scale levels or choose the open-world way? I'd prefer the original recipe to be honest.
