Creators of South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and DOOM: The Dark Ages will provide an in-depth look into their projects.

Xbox announced a new Developer Direct 2025, which will provide an in-depth inside look at games coming to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass this year. The event will air on Thursday, January 23 at 10 am Pacific / 1 pm Eastern / 6 pm UK on Xbox's YouTube and Twitch channels.
The developers themselves will present the upcoming titles, and they will share details about how the games are being created. The Developer Direct will provide information about:
- South of Midnight by Compulsion Games;
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 by Sandfall Interactive;
- DOOM: The Dark Ages by id Studios.
Also, the event will feature another game that hasn't been disclosed in the announcement – "a surprise location to see another studio's brand new game."
id Software will share a full reveal of DOOM: The Dark Ages, the prequel to the 2016 DOOM and DOOM Eternal. The new title follows the origin story of the Doom Slayer's rage. The game is claimed to have high-quality graphics and will support multi-frame generation from DLSS 4, ray reconstruction, and path tracing.

South of Midnight, a third-person action-adventure by Compulsion Games, the creators of Contrast and We Happy Few, is a dark, modern folktale set in the American Deep South. The main character, Hazel, investigates her family's hidden past in a mythical world with mysterious creatures inspired by Southern Folklore.
