Zibra Liquids: A Look at Real-Time Ray Tracing in Unity

A mobile GPU runs internal reflection and fluid depth.

Mykhailo Moroz, who currently works at ZibraAI as a 3D Research Engineer, shared a look at a cool new feature being developed for Zibra Liquids. The team implemented fluid ray tracing that works in Unity at 60fps in real-time on a mobile GPU. "Now full internal reflection and fluid depth is properly accounted for. More cool rendering features to come," wrote the developer.

Zibra Liquids is a real-time fluid simulation plugin powered by AI-based object approximation. The plugin works by using the GPU-based material point method for particle simulation, server-based neural SDF for generating a representation of objects of any complexity, and renders fluid surface with reflection and refraction using user-provided cubemap with multiple visual parameters.
