Motorica

Motorica is an early-stage startup spun out of research in ML and animation at KTH – Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Its generative probabilistic model MoGlow was presented at Siggraph Asia 2020, and follow-up work has won several awards and mentions.

The team has now taken the next step and successfully integrated diffusion models into its technology platform.

Now the company is taking the next step by building new innovative tools for animators.

It is also creating an extensive motion library that will make much of the work in a mocap studio unnecessary. The motion library will include motions of characters that are difficult to capture, such as animals and characters with superhuman capabilities.
