Princess and the Frog

Goodness, this has been a long time in the works. Behold! The Princess and the Frog! I made this for my Texturing and Shading 3 course at Gnomon, taught by Yinglei Yang. Huge thanks to Miguel Ortega for help with the comp work and Tran Ma for help with modeling and texturing!

Missus H's Haberdashery Nursery

My first project in Unreal Engine 4! In my Game Creation 1 class at Gnomon, taught by Anton Napierala, I created Missus H’s Haberdashery Nursery, a Hat Shop that was overrun by plants. Rather than close up shop, Missus H, the shopkeeper, expanded her business to being a Plant Nursery too! Most of the assets are made by myself in Maya, ZBrush and Substance Painter. The plants, statues, cash register, and little wooden drawers are all megascans.

The Paper Girl

Cut from the pages of abandoned books, a wee paper girl battles her own height in pursuit of a love out of her reach. Her creator may have made her, but has yet to meet her. Impossible love incites innovation.
Over the course of two terms at Gnomon School of VFX and Animation, I created this short film called The Paper Girl. I used PFTrack to track my footage, Maya to model all of the CG elements and integrate it into the footage, and Nuke for all of the compositing and color grading. Thanks to my sister, Ella, for her silhouette talent and my dad, Todd, for the music!

The Classic White Tiffany Coupe

In my Hard Surface Modeling 2 class at Gnomon, taught by Jay Machado, I had the opportunity to model any vehicle I so desired. Faced with endless possible options, I decided upon a car that I grew up admiring—my Papa Thomas had a classic white tiffany coupe with a built-in handset and horns that played the theme from The Godfather.  Over the course of 7 weeks, I gathered all of my reference, modeled everything in Maya under the invaluable tutelage of Jay and one of my tutors at Gnomon, Tran Ma, textured it procedurally in Maya, and composited it in Nuke with some fantastic guidance by Miguel Ortega. Thanks to their instruction, I was able to create a piece that garnered a Gnomon Best of Term for Hard Surface Modeling!

Lilo and Stitch Laundry Room

My final for my Intro to Maya course at Gnomon School of VFX and Animation is a recreation of the laundry room from Lilo and Stitch. I modeled and textured the entire scene in Maya and Vray. Textures were all created manually in Photoshop.
