2D Action Roguelike Vampire Survivors To Be Playable On PS Soon

A new DLC, paying tribute to the classic Contra, is to be launched next month to bring tons of new weapons.

In the recent Triple-I Initiative event, alongside the announcement of Rogue Prince of Persia, came the thrilling news that Vampire Survivors, an award-winning 2D action roguelike game, is set to launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 this summer.

Vampire Survivors, boasting an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating on Steam, is renowned for its minimalistic gameplay and roguelike elements, where survival against relentless hordes of monsters is the ultimate aim.

The game was originally released for PC, Mac, Xbox consoles, and mobile platforms in 2022, and subsequently for the Switch last year. Soon, players on PlayStation will be able to engage in intense battles against hundreds of monsters.

In addition to the PlayStation announcement, a new DLC titled "Operation Guns" is set to be launched on May 9, 2024. This DLC pays tribute to the classic Contra, offering build-focused characters, a ton of weaponry (22 including evolutions), and a challenging difficulty curve that blends arcade-like gameplay with the familiar Vampire Survivors formula.
