It's been 10 days since Apex Legends announced their decision to remove the option to purchase the Battle Pass with Apex Coins (AC) from Season 22, requiring players to spend real-world money instead. This is like throwing a bomb to the community, and of course, players are not afraid and throwing their bombs back.
The battle report so far: nearly 30,000 negative reviews have been posted on Steam in the past week, causing the game's rating to plummet to "Overwhelmingly Negative" at just 15%, a significant drop from 45% last Tuesday.

Neither Respawn nor EA have officially responded to the backlash, and the game's official Twitter account has remained silent about the complaints, even their new posts are receiving comments urging them to "revert battle pass changes".
We still remember how Helldivers 2 faced a similar situation back in May, receiving over 210,000 negative reviews over a short period following a controversy over a required PSN account link. And players won that battle when Sony decided to drop the mandatory PSN linking requirement for PC players.

Apex Legends Season 21 will end on August 6, 2024 and Season 22 will start immediately after on the same day, so that's less than three weeks away. Will players finally fight their way to victory this time? Let’s see.
