Ascend the Ocean Surface with a Giant Mech in This Action Horror

Can you return with honor?

B.C. Piezophile is a unique game that blends the thrill of first-person horror with giant mech sandbox exploration. We’ve covered quite a few action horror games before, but in my memory, we haven't encountered one similar.

In this game that takes place deep underwater on the hourglass planet, you are stranded in the Mercy Envoy Atta, “a 9001-ton piloted mech” and strive to reach the surface to get yourself rescued.

“The game's campaign contains twelve large open-ended levels. Their layouts, shrewd and deceptive—laden with misdirection and inter-penetrating passages. Branching paths propose numerous alternate routes, exits, and shortcuts,” reads the game description.

As you explore the vast, dim underwater world, hundreds of unique life forms will be encountered. One example is this ten-legged creepy creature that just won’t leave the muzzle of your weapon, which obviously some fans already want to adopt as a pet:

There are more unexpected events in the game, like the Polar reversal that drops randomly, which will cause complete damage to your work:

Twitter user 3D Glyptics, who is the indie developer behind this project, has shared gameplay footage to offer a more in-depth look at the game. Check them out:

The release date of the game will be announced later. If you are interested, we encourage you to add the game to your wishlist on Steam so you can be notified when it launches. Follow the developer on Twitter to check out more footage.

Recently, the developer 3D Glyptics noticed that Valve had violated a rule set for Steam. The rule says that every game must have at least 5 screenshots, but Valve's own hero-based shooter, Deadlock, has none. If you want to learn more, you can check it out here.
